Days after Richard Childress Racing changed Kyle Busch's crew chief, Richard Childress' team also made an instrumental change to Austin Dillon. Ahead of the upcoming NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race, RCR changed Dillon's crew chief and put Ryan Chism in charge.

"We are proud to announce that Ryan Chism will serve as Crew Chief for the No. 3 Boot Barn Chevrolet, driven by Austin Dillon in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series this weekend," Richard Childress Racing wrote from its official social media account.

Chism has already been an RCR member and served Dillon as the car chief in the Cup Series. He was fairly successful during his tenure, and as a result, RCR put him in charge of their NOAPS ride.

"Chism, a 20-year motorsports veteran, brings a wealth of knowledge and a championship pedigree to the team. Having already secured four Cup Series wins as Austin Dillon’s Car Chief, including a dominant run at Richmond over the last two years," the statement further read.

While Chism moved to the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, Richard Boswell continues to crew chief Dillon in the Cup Series. Texas Motor Speedway is all set to host the upcoming NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race, the Andy's Frozen Custard 340, a 200-lap race, to take place over 300 miles.

Richard Childress Racing is currently undergoing a series of changes to improve its performance and try its best to win races. Replacing Kyle Busch's crew chief was one among them.

RCR wants the best people on the job

The day after the Talladega Superspeedway race, Richard Childress Racing replaced Jim Pohlman, Kyle Busch's crew chief, and moved him to a different role within the team. RCR replaced him with Andy Street.

"This move is about putting our people in the best position to succeed," Richard Childress, the owner and CEO of RCR said. "We have strong talent across this organization, and we’re focused on having each person in the right position to help deliver the results we expect.”

After 10 races, Kyle Busch is in 27th place in the Drivers' Standings with 160 points and a top 10. His teammate, Austin Dillon, is three places ahead with 163 points.
