There's no doubt that Greg Biffle will forever be remembered by the NASCAR community. On 18th December, 2025, Greg Biffle lost his life in a tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of all seven people on board, including his wife and two children.

Since then, the NASCAR world hasn't stopped mourning. However, recently RFK Racing announced it will pay tribute to its late racer at the Darlington Raceway.

Following the announcement, co-owner Brad Keselowski, who also competed against Biffle as a driver primarily in the 2010s, couldn’t hold back his feelings.

Replying to the post on X, he wrote, “A few onions in the race shop after these cars got wrapped.”

The team unveiled three special throwback paint schemes inspired by some of Biffle’s iconic cars. As part of those paint schemes, RFK Racing will also bring back the number fonts used by Biffle.

Naturally, emotions were heavy in the RFK Racing garage after the cars were wrapped in the new liveries, as Biffle remained loyal to the Roush Fenway Racing team (later became the RFK Racing team) for over 19 years, from 1998 to 2016.

The No. 6 Solomon Plumbing Ford Mustang Dark Horse references Biffle’s most recognizable era with RFK, making use of fluorescent accents and a retro number font during his early years.

The No. 17 Fifth Third Bank Ford Mustang Dark Horse took inspiration from the celebration of Biffle’s NASCAR Cup Series pole at the Texas Motor Speedway in 2011, using a clean blue palette.

Lastly, the No. 60 Kroger / Oscar Mayer / Heinz Ford Mustang Dark Horse is inspired by Biffle’s primary 2009 scheme and the Daytona 500.

RFK Racing’s team president also reflected on the great tribute

“The memory of Greg Biffle’s adventurous spirit, his fun-loving personality, and his endearing appreciation for his fans will forever be remembered and embraced by the NASCAR community,” said Chip Bowers, Team President of RFK Racing.

Biffle was not only known as a great NASCAR driver but also as an aviation enthusiast. He used his own helicopter for humanitarian work. He used his helicopter to help people stuck in remote areas, deliver supplies, and conduct rescue operations during Hurricane Helene.

“The three selected throwback color schemes showcased humbly by the No. 6, No. 17, and No. 60, represent incredible moments in Greg’s storied career and offer fans, friends, and family alike an opportunity to reflect on the man and the competitor that we’ll forever remember with fondness and reverence." Chip Bowers said.

"Darlington Raceway, one of Greg’s favorite tracks, serves as the perfect backdrop for all to relive his indelible impact on the sport."
