Brad Keselowski Not Satisfied With Kansas Result Despite Strong Finish

Brad Keselowski hasn't had the best of starts to the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. However, at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, he returned to the Top 10 with a sixth-place finish, his best result since the podium at Darlington.

Moreover, the sixth place was more impressive because he started 21st on the grid. Despite that, he was left wanting a better result, as he shared after the race.

"Yeah, it's just really good on the long runs," Keselowski said about his race. "Took advantage of that and just kept gaining positions, gaining positions. (But) We would have took a 500-mile race, (it) would have been better."

The RFK Racing driver and co-owner finished Stage 1 in 13th place and went on to improve further in Stage 2 with a seventh-place finish. In the end, he came home in sixth, between Bubba Wallace and William Byron.

Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing claimed the victory at the AdventHealth 400, his fifth win in nine races so far. Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe finished the race in second and third places, respectively, while Denny Hamlin and Wallace wrapped up the top five.

Thanks to his sixth-place finish, Keselowski grabbed 35 important points and improved two places to ninth in the standings with 264 points. He had a rather impressive day, and so was the case for his Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing teammate, Chris Buescher.

Brad Keselowski's Teammate Secures Top 10 Despite Pit Struggles

Brad Keselowski's RFK Racing teammate, Chris Buescher, had a respectable result at Kansas. He started the race from seventh and came home in 10th, earning 29 points.

Having faced issues at the pit road during the race and unexpected tire wear at certain points, here's what the No. 17 driver said:

"Our car balanced out pretty well a lot of times during the race and was pretty quick. We just had a rough go on pit road, just from others around us having bad days, and that ended up affecting us quite a bit. We struggled for track position on that front, and we had a little bit of tire wear late on runs, but ultimately it felt like we were always trying to play catch-up and were abusing pretty hard today.”

Buescher dropped one place to 11th in the standings with 259 points, and has five fewer points than Brad Keselowski. RFK's third driver, Ryan Preece, is in 13th place with 235 points after nine races.
