Ahead of the 2026 Kansas Speedway race on Sunday, Brad Keselowski took a trip down memory lane to share an anecdote of his victory at the same track. Taking to his official X account, the RFK Racing driver and co-owner dropped an iconic response as he teased a revelation, but after he retires from the sport.

"The background behind this will need to be a whole chapter in a book one day," Keselowski wrote, as he quote-tweeted a post on the micro-blogging site. "It’s a dang good story for after I’m done driving."

Notably, Keselowski shed light on the 2011 STP 400 victory at Kansas, where he picked up his first of two wins at the track. He was a Team Penske driver at the time and picked up his second career win, and the first for Roger Penske's team.

As a result, it was a special one for sure. Having started his race from 25th place on the grid, Keselowski covered up several positions to win the race ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Denny Hamlin. Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards wrapped up the top 10.

Keselowski went on to race for the same team till the end of 2021 before moving to RFK Racing the next year. However, his switch did not turn out to be a fruitful one, as the #6 driver has only one win to his name in five seasons. However, Brad Keselowski believes things have improved in 2026.

Brad Keselowski Syncs with Teammate on RFK Improvement

Brad Keselowski's Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing teammate, Chris Buescher, stated that the team has made significant ground this season, compared to last season. Even though the RFK drivers have yet to show that on the track, Keselowski synced with him.

"We seem to be a little faster," Keselowski told the media. "There are a couple areas that are opportunities that we have yet to be able to grasp. But I would agree with his assessment that we’re right on the cusp of making that happen."

"His team in particular has been so very strong, so consistent," Co-owner Keselowski further added on Buescher's #17 team. "They qualify well. They’re great on pit road, so just a step of pace and they could win a lot of races.”

After eight races, RFK drivers Chris Buescher and Brad Keselowski are in 10th and 11th places in the standings, respectively. Despite the talks, the RFK drivers have two top fives and six top 10s in eight races.
