Losing a father at the tender age of 11 can be heartbreaking and enormously painful, something Brexton Busch experienced nearly a month ago.

Despite this, the young Busch showed signs of strength and remarkable maturity, something that's rare in children of his age. Pointing it out, Kevin Harvick, a former driver and Kyle Busch's NASCAR colleague, lauded the youngster when he saw him at his father's memorial service.

"Brexton's a strong kid," Harvick said in the recent SPEED with Harvick and Buxton podcast. "When I went to the service and heard him speak, I just can't even imagine the guts that it takes and he's been back at the racetrack and he's around Keelan and all the kids on the legend team that we race with, having a good time."

Brexton Busch, 11, lost his father Kyle Busch on May 21. As the world came crashing down on him, he made sure he remained strong, something several top names such as Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. hailed.

Just hours after his father's memorial service, Brexton returned to racing in the Cook Out Summer Shootout in the Legend Car Series at Charlotte. He posted a message on Instagram later where he mentioned he "felt really good to get racing again" and thanked everyone for the support.

"So, that's what he needs. He needs to be around the kids, and kids are just so healing when they're around each other to be able to get their mind off of everything, and it's great to see him back at the racetrack," Harvick further added.

Days after his father's demise, Brexton Busch returned to the track quickly to honor his father. Growing up under the able guidance of Kyle Busch, Brexton showed signs of brilliance and is regarded as one of the top names among young drivers in the country.

Besides this, Brexton was seen holding back his tears to pat his mother, Samantha Busch, and console her during the pre-race tribute ahead of the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Weeks after his father's passing, Brexton Busch returned to race at the Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway, in the Legends Car racing under the Young Lions Division. Reacting to it, his mother, Samantha Busch, left a heartfelt tribute on social media.

"Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right there with us," Samantha wrote on Instagram.

She further mentioned how racing was both Kyle and Brexton's dream, and that's what lights up the latter. I’ll be right there beside him, cheering him on every step of the way,” she added.

Kyle Busch breathed his last at the age of 41 after suffering from severe pneumonia, which rapidly progressed into sepsis. He left behind a long-lasting legacy, and his family, wife Samatha, and children Brexton and Lennix Busch.
