Dale Jr’s Driver Makes RCR Apology Trip Moments After Career Best Finish

The rivalry between Rajah Caruth and Richard Childress' driver, Jesse Love boiled over again at Rockingham. Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s driver secured a career-best finish at Rockingham Speedway but immediately had to make amends.
This incident comes just after their heated exchange at Martinsville. And Caruth took no time to admit his wrongdoing.
"Obviously I got into the #2 earlier and I'll just try behind them," Caruth told Matt Weaver after the race. "Obviously, didn't mean to do that, and um, obviously I'll go over there when once we finish up over here, but obviously I want to do that better. But glad to have a somewhat quiet day at the end."
Caruth's apology comes right after he and Love shared fiery exchanges on their individual radios post-contact. The #88 driver misjudged the lane change and hit the rear of Love's #2 Chevrolet, sending it against the barrier.
The contact significantly damaged the right side of Love's car, causing persistent vibrations and bent suspension components. The team tried to execute multiple pit stops to address and assess the damage.
As a result, Love lost time, and in the end, he finished the race in 27th place, despite starting from second place. Rajah Caruth, on the other hand, went on to finish the race in fourth place, just behind his teammate, Justin Allgaier, grabbing his career best O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race finish.
This Marked The Second Time Caruth Has Jeopardized Love's Race, First Time Was in Martinsville
Rajah Caruth and Jesse Love were competing for sixth place at the Martinsville Speedway race in late March. With three laps left, Caruth shoved Love in Turn 1 and Turn 2.
The shoving did not stop in the following lap, as Caruth charged Love again in Turns 3 and 4, causing both cars to lose momentum. In the end, Love finished the race in 12th place, while Caruth made contact with Brent Crews, and finished the race in 25th place.
As Caruth's actions have cost Love and his team points, here's what he said about it in the post-race interview: “I impacted their points today and understand their frustration, and I should have handled that differently on the racetrack. I didn’t handle that the best."
Both Caruth and Love had a fiery post-race verbal altercation, but Love's crew chief, Danny Stockman, initially confronted the JRM driver with heated language.
However, the drivers eventually spoke privately about the incident, and things ended between them with a fist bump at Martinsville, only to await the incident once again at Rockingham.
