Dana White recently chimed in on a famous NASCAR debate about the biggest race. Now, White is not someone who shies away from a controversial take, and this time, yet again, the UFC boss has struck.

Daytona, Las Vegas, Martinsville, many come to mind when it comes to the best races, but White has picked a race different from these on the list.

“I hear about a lot, I hear about Daytona, I hear about Talladega, I think I’ll go with Talladega,” said White while speaking to Harvick on Speed ahead of the Truck Series race in Daytona.

White picked Talladega as that was where he went for his first NASCAR race.

The UFC boss asked the one-time Cup Series winner if there was a right answer, but Harvick stated that it was an 'open-ended question' and depended on personal experience.

“The experience that me and my kids had at Talladega was incredible, it was one of those things that I’ll never forget, " said White when talking about his Talladega experience. “It was the first time I had a Moonshine(beer),” said White as he smiled.

His experience in the race certainly helped him develop his love for the sport, as he is now increasingly involved in NASCAR.

White’s increasing involvement with NASCAR

Though he flatly refused an offer to become a financial partner for RAM’s return with Kaulig Racing in the Truck Series, White has still played a major role in the team’s return from a promotional point.

RAM’s CEO Tim Kuniskis then requested White to get involved in a commercial for the team.

“He called me and said, ‘I’ll understand if it’s a hard no, but can you do the voice-over for the commercial?’ I said absolutely no," said White. "He said Will you read the script?’I read the script and said I’ll go voice this over right now. It was like the most American commercial of all time, and I said yes.”

It started as a voice-over, and eventually, White picked up interest and came on board as producer of Race for the Seat, a reality contest to decide Ram’s driver for their return. 

Since then, White’s interest has only been growing, and he was also on pit road at Daytona, supporting the Ram team, including driver Timothy ‘Mini’ Tyrrell, who ended up as the winner of the show.
