The Scuderia Ferrari is all set to pay tribute to Formula One legend Michael Schumacher at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix, bringing back one of the most successful eras of the team. But as images surfaced, a debate over a specific detail began: the colours.

On September 1st, the Scuderia announced the tribute livery for their home Grand Prix. The announcement for the tribute was made via a heart-touching video posted on their X account, giving the fans a first look. 

Amidst all of the tributes callback to the 1996 livery, one detail stuck out like a sore thumb to some which was the colours of the HP logo.

As seen in the video posted by Ferrari to their X account, the title sponsor's branding remained in its usual blue, a stark contrast against the deep red, white, and black scheme built to honor Schumacher's era. 

In the video, the SF-26 was seen sporting the colors inspired by the 1996 F310. The car sports a deeper red, white accents on the wings, along with black detailing and gold-tinted wheels. Schumacher's seven-star emblem and "MS" logo complete the look.

For many of the fans, this splash of blue was enough to disrupt the nostalgia that the livery brought, sparking a lot of debate.

Under the video of the announcement shared by the Maranello-based team on their X account, many of the fans took to the comment section to make their feelings known. 

One fan did not mince their words about how they felt towards the splash of blue. They commented, 

"The blue just kills it. So close to being good but leave it to HP to ruin it."

Another fan shared a similar sentiment towards the colours of the HP logo on the car. They wrote, 

"Without that HP logo then we get a livery beautiful."

A fan felt that Ferrari could have made a different choice. They commented, 

"Why keep blue hp? White would have been nicer."

Yet another fan was far more blunt in their assessment of keeping the HP logo the same colour. They wrote, 

"That Blue HP is hideous still."

A fan, meanwhile, had a whole different suggestion for Ferrari. They commented, 

"Maybe paint the halo red too."

Ferrari clearly put thought into honoring Michael Schumacher's legacy, but it's the HP logo that's stealing the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Tribute or not, it seems even the Tifosi won't let a splash of blue slide.
