Greg Biffle’s Ex-Wife Sues The Biffle Estate Months After His Tragic Death

A lot has gone down surrounding Greg Biffle's family since his tragic passing in December 2025. To add to that, Biffles' ex-wife, Nicole Lunders, has now filed a lawsuit against the late NASCAR driver's estate.

The former NASCAR driver tragically passed away along in a plane crash with his wife, Cristina Grossu, and two children, Ryder and Emma, who was the only child he had with ex-wife Nicole in eight years of marriage.

Others on board the plane who also lost their life were longtime NASCAR crew member Craig Wadsworth, pilot Dennis Dutton, and his son Jack Dutton.

Earlier this month, the two estates of Dennis Dutton and Jack Dutton filed two $15 million wrongful death lawsuits against Greg Biffle's estate. Now, according to NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass, even Nicole has filed a lawsuit for the wrongful death of her daughter, Emma.

The lawsuit primarily targets Greg Biffle and Dennis Dutton's estates, as the plane belonged to the former NASCAR driver and was piloted by Dutton. It states that the plane owned by Biffle was not properly maintained, leading to the tragic crash, which ended Emma's life.

Moreover, it also highlights certain early warning signals from the plane's engine that the pilots should have reacted to just before takeoff.

The NTSB released its preliminary report, where they stated that they found the left engine of the plane to be faulty. However, the final report has yet to be released.

However, these cases are not the only thing that Greg Biffle's bereaved family has had to deal with since the tragic incident.

Greg Biffle's house Was Burgled Days After His Death

Shortly after the late NASCAR driver and his family's passing, various fraudulent activities were seen on the Biffle’s accounts in January this year. Moreover, on January 7, the Biffle residence was broken into, with various things like NASCAR memorabilia, two guns, and $30,000 in cash reported missing.

According to a report by WBTV, "multiple conspirators that had access to and intimate knowledge of the Biffles’ accounts" stole "hundreds of thousands of dollars."

Multiple search warrants were issued, but no arrests have been made yet. But on April 30, police put out reports stating they had identified the person of interest.

"Law enforcement are executing a search warrant and searching for evidence related to the break-in at the Biffle residence," Adam Dillard, attorney for the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, told WBTV.

However, no evidence connecting the person to the robbery has been found. The investigation carries on.
