Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch & Co's Iconic RFK Cars to Go on Sale in Public Auction
The good ghosts of NASCAR's past are all set to take the center stage at Mecum’s first Nashville auction. Jack Roush will be parting ways with some of the iconic NASCAR cars he owns, giving fans and collectors a chance to own a rare piece of racing history.
Roush has a total of 150 cars in his personal collection. However, a few select items from the Roush Automotive Collection, which have been assembled over 38 years of collecting, restoring, and preserving cars and racing artifacts, will headline the auction.
The 84-year-old team owner will be putting up a few of the iconic RFK cars. The collection going up for the auction in September includes late Greg Biffle’s 2004 Ford Taurus NASCAR, along with the 2009 Ford Fusion NASCAR that helped Biffle get his 100th win in the Nationwide series for Roush, which was also piloted by Carl Edwards.

Another car up for the Mecum auction is NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch's 2000 Craftsman Truck Series No. 99 Ford F-150, which he drove in his rookie year. That year, he became the runner-up in the series.
Yet another eye-catching piece in the list is Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s No. 6 2011 Ford Mustang. Stenhouse Jr. drove this car during his first Nationwide victory and went on to win the championship in the same year.
The auction will also feature non-NASCAR cars that were built by Jack Roush himself, such as the 1990 Ford F-150 concept Sport Truck.
The bidding is set to take place from September 23rd to 26th at the Nashville Superspeedway, and the entire auction listing is up on the Mecum website.
Iconic Roush-built IMSA and Trans-Am cars to be sold alongside NASCAR cars
Besides the NASCAR cars, cars from the Roush Automotive Collection that raced in other categories will also be available at the auction for the fans to purchase.

Since Jack Roush is associated with other series like IMSA and Trans-Am cars, cars from those competitions will be up for sale. The iconic "Nobody’s Fool," which is the 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra IMSA GTS-1 racer, will be up for grabs.
The car was driven by driver-turned-actor Paul Newman, Tommy Kendall, and Mark Martin at the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona. They won in the GTS-1 Class and placed third overall.
Tommy Kendall’s 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra Trans-Am, in which he won the 1997 Trans-Am championship most dominantly, will also be at the event. The car helped Roush and Kendall grab 11 wins in one season.
The auction event will take place in September, together with Roush Industries' 50th anniversary celebration.
