Lewis Hamilton did not hold back from venting his frustrations to Ferrari as the Dutch Grand Prix unfolded. As the laps went on, his frustration boiled over, leaving little doubt about how he felt in the moment.

However, with Monza, the team's home race right around the corner, he has had a shift in tone that suggests he knows he crossed a line. Following the race, Hamilton pointed fingers at the race incident between him and Leclerc that cost him a third-place finish.

However, in his recent Instagram post, Hamilton has apologized to the whole team. 

"I’ve listened back to some of my radio and TV comments," Hamilton wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.  “In the heat of the moment frustration can come out, especially when you care as deep as I do. But that wasn’t the best version of me. I take responsibility for that and I’ll be better."

The incident in question happened during the race at Zandvoort on August 23rd, Hamilton was pretty vocal about his frustrations with the team’s strategy.

However, things came to a head when his teammate Charles Leclerc stayed out despite Ferrari calling him in for a pit stop, leaving Hamilton stuck behind him on fresher tires. 

While a late VSC did get him to touching distance of the podium, he couldn't get past his former Mercedes teammate George Russell.

Despite the tense situation between him and the team, the seven-time world champion reiterated that his faith in the team was strong as ever. 

"That passion comes from believing in this team, the people in it and what we’re building together. The direction is clear. The belief is there. And the fight is absolutely still on."

Hamilton's outburst made his frustrations clear, but his apology suggests the bigger picture hasn't changed for him.

As Ferrari heads into their home race at the Italian Grand Prix, he'll be looking forward to backing up his confidence with results on track. 

However, not everyone was ready to move on from the incident. Jean Alesi has now come forward to make his thoughts known.

Jean Alesi weighs in on Lewis Hamilton’s 'out of place' radio outburst 

Alesi is no stranger to the pressure of driving for Ferrari. The Frenchman drove for the team back in the 1990s and has been keeping a close eye on the team after his retirement. He recently spoke about Lewis Hamilton’s outburst on the radio. 

While speaking to Corriere della Sera, Alesi raised questions about the seven-time world champion's approach. 

"I found Hamilton’s complaints over the radio and in the post-race interviews to be out of place," he said during his interview, published on August 25 in the Italian newspaper. 

Alesi also highlighted the unique personality Hamilton brings to Ferrari while also pointing out that his status cannot overshadow the importance of the team itself. 

"Granted, Charles didn’t give way straight away, but I don’t think that was the reason he missed out on the podium." Alesi said during the interview with Corriere della Sera. "It’s just that Lewis has a big personality; he’s an asset, but he commands a certain amount of respect. I’d remind us all – and him too – that Ferrari is Ferrari. It deserves respect"

Whether or not Lewis Hamilton agrees with Jean Alesi’s comments is something to be seen.
