Days after his strong Indy 500 show, Conor Daly is set to race in Indianapolis once again, but at a track close to the IMS. And this time in NASCAR.

The IndyCar star has paired up with Kaulig Racing and RAM, leaving the fans excited. Daly will run the No. 25 Free Agent truck at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday, July 24. Known for his racing calibre, Daly will race for the team that returned to the NASCAR Truck Series after a 13-year hiatus in 2026.

"I’m pumped to get this opportunity at IRP," said Daly, as per the Kaulig Racing official website. "Racing in front of the hometown crowd is always electric, and climbing into a Ram truck with Kaulig Racing for this race is going to be a blast. I know I’ll have a lot of folks cheering at IRP!"

Notably, Conor Daly will race in the same truck in which Tony Stewart made his NASCAR return at Daytona this year. Besides him, veteran drivers like Clint Bowyer and Jamie McMurray also signed on to drive the same truck in Dover and San Diego, respectively.

Daly, who doesn't have a full-time IndyCar drive but raced for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing at the Indy 500, made his NASCAR Truck Series debut in 2024. He also has three races each in the Cup and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, making it a total of 12 races across three national series.

Fans React to Kaulig's Conor Daly Announcement

As Kaulig and RAM Truck announced Daly for the upcoming race, fans took to their social media accounts to share their reactions.

Reacting to the announcement, a fan wrote, "Woooot! Go get em @ConorDaly22 !! Checkers or wreckers!" With this, the fan poked fun at Daly's aggressive racing.

Another fan shared their wish to see Daly in NASCAR more along with his IndyCar commitments. "I wish he raced in NASCAR more. He’s solid," they wrote.

"Impressive at Indy, good luck in the Truck, a great brand in development," wrote another fan, recalling his strong Indy 500 performance last week, a 12th-place finish.

Another fan wrote, "Epic pick. He’s going to have some fun in that truck."

"Excellent, look forward to CD jamming gears old school," another fan wrote, sharing his thoughts on seeing some old school racing from Conor Daly.

With that said, it will be interesting to see how Conor Daly performs as he steps up in a stock vehicle from his traditional open-wheel machine.
