The NASCAR community will soon see another new face, as Louis Foster is set to make his debut in the Truck Series. Freedom Racing Enterprises confirmed the British racer will compete in the LiUNA 150 at Lime Rock Park on July 11.

Jayski reported that Foster will drive the No. 76 Chevrolet Silverado for Freedom Racing Enterprises, with Droplight serving as the primary sponsor. The 22-year-old British racer drives full-time for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and he won the IndyCar rookie of the year award in his debut season for the team. 

The opportunity came together through Freedom Racing Enterprises owner and driver Spencer Boyd, who said the team's road course program made Lime Rock the ideal venue to bring in a specialist from outside NASCAR. 

He said, “It was our goal this season to stay focused on the 76 this year while bringing road course talent to best showcase our abilities in building fast trucks. The schedules aligned so that we could execute this crossover with Louis at Lime Rock and we are proud to be the ones getting him his first drive in a NASCAR race truck.”

After winning the Indy Pro 2000 championship in 2022, he won the Indy NXT title in 2024, before moving up to IndyCar with RLL. While this will be his debut race in NASCAR, he has won pole position at Road America and a career-best P7 finish at Phoenix in his IndyCar career so far. 

Foster is also a second-generation racer, as he is the son of former British Touring Car Championship driver Nick Foster, who now serves as the co-founder and CEO of Novara Technologies. 

While Foster will be a new face at Lime Rock Park, we will also see a familiar face return to the Truck Series. 

Colin Braun to return to Truck Series at Lime Rock Park

The 37-year-old driver, who returned to the Truck Series earlier this year at St. Petersburg, is now coming back once again at Lime Rock Park, as stated by Jayski.com. As part of RAM’s Free Agent Driver Program, Braun will pilot the No. 25 RAM 1500. 

Braun is a three-time IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar champion, having won titles in 2014, 2015, and 2022. He was also awarded Rookie of the Year in the 2008 season of the Truck Series. Additionally, he has won the 24h Daytona four times, and is also an Asian Le Mans Series Champion. 

Speaking on his comeback to Lime Rock Park, he said, “Racing at Lime Rock Park feels special, because of its deep history and pure road course challenge. It’s exciting to see the Truck Series compete here and add another chapter to this track’s legacy. 

I enjoyed racing with the Kaulig team in St. Petersburg and look forward to joining them again. We’re going there to compete for the win.”
