The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race, Andy’s Frozen Custard 340, was an all-JR Motorsports affair. Kyle Larson and Justin Allgaier went head-to-head in the final laps at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Despite trying his best, Allgaier failed to topple the Cup driver, as he shared his thoughts after the Andy's Frozen Custard 340 race.

"I mean, I battled with 19 for a while there. I battled with a one for a while. I don't know what happened to them ultimately. But I thought it really was going to come down to a three or four car battle there at the end with two teammates," Allgaier told Frontstretch.

Kyle Larson led the race for 93 laps and went on to win it with just a 0.293 margin. Even though Allgaier failed to win the race, he delivered a dominant performance for JR Motorsports and took home a chunk of points to keep his lead intact in the Drivers' Standings.

"The first three or four laps, I was just too hot on the splitter and couldn't catch him. And then once we did, he was able to block all the lanes I needed. We needed a Junior Motorsports win today, regardless if it was him or me. And I think we did what we needed to do. It was a good point," the #7 driver further added.

Justin Allgaier started his race from the pole and held his lead in Stage 1. In Stage 2, Allgaier dropped to third place as he battled with Brent Crews and Connor Zilisch. In the final stage, it all came down between him and Larson, where the Hendrick's Cup Series driver had the upper hand.

Kyle Larson lauds Justin Allgaier after hard duel

Kyle Larson was skeptical about claiming the victory at the Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, as the #88 driver had Justin Allgaier behind him, he reckoned. Speaking to the media after the race, Larson said:

Well, I really didn’t think I had a chance there with Justin behind me,” Larson admitted in his victory interview on The CW. “He was really good."

"And catching me there on that long run after the green flag stop, and just hoped in clean air, I could kind of stretch away like I did the run before to start Stage 3. Yeah, I don’t know, he was really good behind me,” he added.

Larson started the race in third place and maintained the same position at the end of Stage 1. He fell to fourth in Stage 2, but went on to claim the victims in the final stage. Sam Mayer, Brent Crews, and Parker Retzlaff finished the race in the top five.
