Tyler Reddick’s hot start to the season has many wondering just how many wins he can actually achieve. The 23XI Racing driver already has five wins in nine races, becoming the first driver since Dale Earnhardt in 1987 to do so.

With 17 races to go in the regular season and another 10 in the Chase, if Reddick can even keep up half this pace, he is going to shatter quite a few records. In Gen 7 or Next Gen, Kyle Larson holds the record for most wins in a season, with six in 2024.

While there are a few records that are a long shot for Tyler Reddick, Kevin Harvick thinks there is one that he could destroy this season. Speaking about it on his "Happy Hour" Podcast, Harvick was asked if he thought the No. 45 23XI driver would get five wins so soon.

He said, "I did not." Harvick then made a prediction for the rest of Reddick’s season and said, "I think he’s gonna break the Gen 7 record of six race wins in a season. I think he’s gonna get eight or nine wins before this whole thing is done."

The record for the most wins in a season during the modern era(1972 onward) is 13, jointly held by Richard Petty and Jeff  Gordon.

Before Tyler Reddick won five races this year, the most dominant season a driver has had in the Next Gen car introduced in 2022 was Kyle Larson. However, Larson's six wins came across a full season and included him leading 1700 laps.

What’s surprising in Reddick's case is the number of laps led en route to his five wins. The 30-year-old has only led in five races this season, and his tally of laps led is only 199 laps. For comparison, Denny Hamlin, who is currently second in the standings, has led 575 laps already with just one win to his name. Despite the laps led, Hamlin is 105 points off Reddick.

In 2024, Kyle Larson had 18 top 10 finishes, 15 of which were top five finishes, while 6 wins, along with 12 stage wins, carried him to a points tally of 2378.

While Tyler Reddick has picked up form early, in comparison, Larson has only one win in the first nine races, getting his groove on further into the season. Reddick needs one win to match that record in the regular season itself.

With a total of 27 races to go, including the chase, Reddick may be looking at many more wins this season. What will his final win count be at the end of 2026?
