Kyle Busch Honored in Private Memorial Service As Family Soon To Make Announcement on Public Event

Kyle Busch tragically died on May 21st, and the tributes haven’t stopped pouring in since. All drivers winning NASCAR races since then have been honoring him with his signature bow. And the tributes go way beyond the tracks.

According to motorsports journalist Bob Pockrass, a private memorial was held for Busch, where his near and dear ones paid tribute to his legacy.

In the same post, Pockrass wrote, “There are plans to have a public event in Charlotte to celebrate the life of Kyle Busch. Date TBD.”

Pockrass retweeted a post about the private memorial. The post read, “Today, we paid tribute to a friend. All our best 🫶 to Sam, Brexton, Lennix & family. May God put his hand on them all and bring them some sort of peace. KFB - Food, Fun, Faith, Fashionista, but most of all 👉“Family” See you on the other side Champ. Rest easy ❤️🏁”

The post celebrated the many facets of Busch, beyond the winner he was. Busch won a staggering 234 races across the three NASCAR series, in a career that saw him take up the role of NASCAR’s favourite villain because of how much he won.

Busch got his 234th and final win at the Truck race in Dover, after which he said,  “You never know when the last one is.”

Daniel Suarez dedicated his Charlotte win to Busch, and Layne Riggs performed the bow after winning the truck race. In Nashville, Justin Allgaier and Denny Hamlin both performed the famous Busch bow after taking the checkered flag.

But on Monday, one driver did more than just the bow.

Kyle Larson pays a special tribute and supports Busch’s initiative

Kyle Larson, the reigning Cup champion, raced on Monday in the Duel at Davenport and won. Larson took the checkered flag and did the iconic Busch bow after taking victory in the dirt race.

As he stepped down from the car, he was asked about the decision regarding the prize money of the race.

Without thinking, he said, “This time I’m gonna send it to Kyle and Samantha Busch’s foundation, the Bundle of Joy. We get to celebrate his life tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to doing that.”

Kyle and Samantha Busch’s Bundle of Joy Foundation is an initiative that is meant to support couples who require the help of IVF to have a child, but often the treatment is too expensive.

Kyle and Samantha went through the same trouble and realised the privileged position they are in to be able to pay for their treatment, and decided to help other couples who want their little bundle of joy. And now, Larson is just contributing to that noble cause.

Beyond Larson honoring Busch and contributing to his foundation, Larson’s son, Owen, was seen hugging Brexton Busch after the tribute to Busch at Charlotte.

And even Larson’s daughter Audrey celebrated the legacy of Kyle Busch by performing the iconic bow after winning a dirt race in Nebraska.
