On Friday, Kyle Busch competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at the Dover Motor Speedway and won the Ecosave 200 race.

With this win, Busch secured his fifth Truck Series win at Dover, and spiced the victory speech up by taking a cheeky dig at his Cup Series colleague, Kyle Larson.

Busch, driving the Spire Motorsports #7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, picked up his second win in four outings. As he shared his thoughts after the victory, he made a sly comparison with Larson.

“I know all too well, unfortunately, with the Cup stuff, but here with the Truck stuff now, it’s awesome to be part of Spire Motorsports. I’m sure it looked great out front, leading the race. It wasn’t just Kyle Larson doing it. Feels good to have another Kyle able to do it and put ourselves in Victory Lane. Love coming to Dover, always one of my favorite places to race."

Notably, Busch's light banter comes as a reminder that Larson, who also competed in the Truck Series over the last few seasons, drove Spire Motorsports' Truck. While Busch had his #7 Truck, Larson drove the #07.

Larson's last race in the Truck Series was the 2025 Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol, and he won his last at Homestead in the 2025 Baptist Health 200.

However, Busch and Larson's rivalry in the Truck Series goes way back.

When Kyle Larson poked Kyle Busch with Truck Series stats

Back in 2020, Kyle Larson quote-tweeted an X post, which triggered a lot of controversy. Sharing FOX Sports' X post celebrating Kyle Busch's Las Vegas Truck Series win, Larson put three cherries in the caption.

The cherries allegedly portrayed that the broadcaster was taking his side, and was cherry picking the statistics. However, this did not sit well with Kevin Harvick, a former NASCAR Cup Series driver and a FOX analyst.

"Kyle Larson’s tweet kind of set me off, and it just kind of evolved into what it was. And it’s really about 'If you don’t like it, get off the couch and go beat the guy,'" Harvick said, calling Larson out.

"It’s not something that’s easy to do. And even if you don’t go get in your own truck, let’s see you go out there and be competitive instead of complaining, and go out there and race against the guy. Nobody complains about you when you’re racing your champ kart on dirt against kids in a go-kart race. That’s really what set the whole thing off," the 2014 Cup Series winner further added.

While Kyle Larson did not talk about it explicitly, perhaps Kyle Busch remembers the comment. Which might explain why such sly digs often come up.
