Kyle Larson Refuses To Panic Despite 31-Race Winless Streak.

A winless streak is not a rare scenario in racing, especially when it comes to NASCAR. The greats of the sport, such as Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, as well as recent stars like Kyle Busch, have all gone through this. While this sight is not one to behold for someone like Kyle Larson, who is going through a year-long streak, he is reluctant to panic, nonetheless.

Larson, the HMS star driver, has been on a winless streak for 31 races now. His last win came in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway in May 2025. April this year marks an 11-month winless streak in NASCAR. Despite this, Larson refused to panic as for him winning matters, not just in NASCAR, given that he is also a regular Sprint car racer.

"Yeah, I mean, yes and no," Larson told Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports, revealing if he is concerned about the winless streak."I would say more no than yes. And I think too, me running dirt races and getting wins and that probably makes it seem like it hasn't been that long ago. Like it's kind of wild, like to think that, yeah, I mean, it's almost been a year since I've won."

Notably, Kyle Larson's start to the season has not been ideal, as the Hendrick Motorsports driver picked up only one top five in the first seven races. Currently, he is in ninth place in the Drivers' Standings with 209 points.

Kyle Larson Defends HMS Amid Torrid Form

Kyle Larson came up to support his team despite Hendrick Motorsports' failure to dominate the first seven races of the season. Even though Chase Elliott won a race, it was far from the performances 23XI Racing or Team Penske delivered.

"I don't feel like we're that bad," Larson said in the same conversation with Pockrass. "I think ultimately celebrating the championship in Phoenix felt like a win in a lot of ways. We want to get back to victory lane. We're working as hard as we ever have, I feel like as a group, and we want to win."

Chase Elliott spearheads the HMS brigade in the championship in fourth place with 249 points, followed by William Byron, who is in fifth place with 238 points. While Larson is in the ninth place, while Alex Bowman continues to stay out of races due to vertigo.

The team will be hoping Bristol starts their run of resurgence. Undoubtedly, they have a stacked team, and it is only a matter of time before HMS wins races and moves up the standings.
