Before how he appeared lately, Jason Kelce was already quite controversial because of the kind of attention he drew the last time he was involved with the sport. The former NFL star entered the NASCAR world due to his media ventures.

Everyone remembers the Kelce Versus series, where he tried different sports challenges. In recollection of one of these challenges, he joined Hendrick Motorsports at Talladega, where he served as a pit crew member for Corey Day's No. 17 team.

Several officials and broadcasters viewed this participation as an attempt to get more audience, especially those multi-million football fans. However, many NASCAR fans thought otherwise.

While some appreciated the stint, many on social media were upset that the content of the show focused more on Kelce than on showing racing or even the drivers and teams.

Now, NASCAR recently posted a video on X, where this time, Kelce was seen in the driver's seat, and crew chiefing him was none other than Jeff Gordon.

In the video, we can see William Byron letting him drive in his car, and he picks up good enough speed to impress Gordon.

But while it may have impressed the HMS team, fans aren't quite happy. They are now voicing their strong opinions online, basically revolving around how focus should be put on local sports celebrities rather than those from other sports.

Fans make their feelings clear on Kelce’s NASCAR return

Clearly, not every fan was thrilled to see Jason Kelce’s latest appearance around NASCAR. Several fans were just too frustrated to see Kelce everywhere and simply wanted a general break from seeing him all the time.

One fan bluntly wrote, “I’m tired of this dude,” while another pleaded, “Please don't try to put him in a NASCAR race.”

Fans didn't even want to see Kelce near a NASCAR machine, as one fan jokingly commented, “I wouldn't trust him to flip rocks in my driveway.”

This criticism even refused to stay limited to NASCAR. Some self-proclaimed Philly fans also joined the comments, as one added, “Jason loves attention, and his act has grown old. Yes, this is a Philly fan saying this. Just go away for a while.”

Another complained, “I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t even watch ESPN, and I f****** have seen enough of him.”

However, not everyone saw the situation the same way, as one fan pointed out how Kelce is unlikely to fade away soon: “This dude is inescapable for the sporting public simply because he is quite likely going to be the BIL to one of the biggest celebrities on the planet.”

Nevertheless, the vast majority of fans critiqued another viewing of Kelce due to a perceived lack of seriousness or simply because they felt they had already seen too much of him.
