NASCAR Fans react as Joey Logano takes up new job in life
Most fans know Joey Logano as a three-time Cup Series NASCAR champion. However, he has stepped into a different role altogether, which has nothing to do with race cars or trophies. This has caught a lot of fans' attention on social media.
In a recent post on his social media, the Team Penske driver revealed that he stepped into the role of an officiant last month. His announcement was accompanied by a carousel of pictures from a wedding.
"Add “Wedding Officiant” to my resume… Had the pleasure to officiate a close family member’s wedding last month. Congrats and best wishes on a lifetime of happiness, Jenaiya & Noah… How does “Reverend Joe” sound?" the caption read.
While the No. 22 driver's post may come as a surprise to many of the fans, this is not the first time a NASCAR star has taken up the role of officiant.
Back in 2014, the late two-time NASCAR champion Kyle Busch co-officiated a wedding for a couple in Las Vegas who won a contest at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
However, for Logano, officiating this wedding seemed far more personal as it was the ceremony of a close family member.
NASCAR fans were delighted with Logano's heartfelt post and cheeky suggestion of the nickname "Reverend Joe".
NASCAR fans react to "Reverend Joe"
A fan quickly shared Logano’s post to their Reddit account, and others began flooding the post's comment section with their reactions to the Team Penske driver’s new role.
One fan joked, "Joey doing all the sidequests since becoming bald lol."
While another fan backed the three-time Cup Series champion's suggestion for a nickname as they wrote, "He needs to go by “Reverend Joe” from now on."
Yet another fan applauded Joey Logano for embracing life beyond the chaos of NASCAR racing.
"Logano has high emotional intelligence. He's trying to live his best life in all aspects. Good man," they wrote.
Fans also took a playful jab at Team Penske’s manufacturer, Ford, and its ongoing NASCAR season. Ford’s 2026 campaign has been disappointing so far. They secured only one win with Ryan Blaney in the last 15 or so races.
"Logano's just trying to make ends meet. Any sensible Ford driver this season is probably in the same boat /j," one such Redditor wrote.
