NASCAR schedule Chicagoland: Where to watch, race timing, entries, matchups & more

NASCAR is all set to head to the iconic Chicagoland Speedway for the first time in seven years. The 1.5-mile venue will roar to life over America’s 250th anniversary weekend from 3rd to 5th of July.

The eero 400 will mark the 19th race of the Cup series regular season in 2026. And for the first time this season, Denny Hamlin leads the championship over Tyler Reddick, but by only one point.

But first things first. Let us take a look at the schedule and broadcast details for the weekend.

NASCAR schedule and broadcast information for Chicagoland weekend

The Chicagoland weekend will kick off with an ARCA Menards Series practice session at 2 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 3:30 p.m. ET. The race will begin later that evening at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FS1.

As for the O’ Reilly Series, the practice session will kick off at 4:30 pm ET on Friday, which you can watch on the CW App. Saturday will feature the qualifying session for the series at 1:30 pm ET, followed by the pre-race broadcast at 4:30 pm ET, and the race will kick off an hour later at 5:30 pm ET.

The O’Reilly race, which consists of 200 laps, will be divided into stages of 45-45-110 laps. Fans can catch all the action for the series on the CW App.

Finally, the main event, the NASCAR Cup Series, will kick off its weekend on Friday at 6 pm ET with the practice session, which will be broadcast on TruTV.

The qualifying session is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TruTV. On Sunday, the pre-race show will start at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 6 p.m. ET.

The 267-lap Cup Series race will be split into stages of 80-85-102 laps. Fans can catch the race on TNT Sports.

Entry lists for the O'Reilly Series and Cup Series

The O’Reilly race will feature 38 drivers, with three confirmed Cup Series drivers making their part-time appearances in the series:

Cole Custer will drive the No. 0 for SS-Green Light Racing.
Chase Elliott will drive the No. 88 car for JR Motorsports.
Connor Zilisch will drive the No. 1 car for JR Motorsports.

DGM Racing x JIM has yet to announce its driver for the No. 91 car, and RSS Racing has yet to do the same for its No. 38 car.

As for the Cup Series race, it will feature 39 entries, including three part-time entries:

Corey Heim continues to drive the No. 67 with 23XI Racing.
Josh Bilicki will drive the No. 66 for Garage 66.
J. J.Yeley will drive the No. 44 for the NY Racing team.

In-Season Challenge matchups

The Chicagoland race is the second venue on the schedule for the five-race In-Season Challenge, which began at Sonoma.

The 32-driver bracket was reduced to 16 after Sonoma, where former championship leader Tyler Reddick was the biggest name eliminated after a mechanical issue with his car.

As for the 16 who advanced, they will continue to go head-to-head for the ultimate prize of $1 million, which will be decided at Indianapolis on July 26th.
