NASCAR Schedule Pocono: Where To Watch, Race Timing, Entries & More

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Pocono this weekend for the Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA. Here's the complete schedule for the 16th race of the season at the 2.5-mile Tricky Triangle.

Weekend schedule and broadcast information

The race weekend begins Friday with ARCA Menards Series practice and qualifying starting at noon and the Pocono ARCA 150 race at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.

Saturday features NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series practice and qualifying starting at 10:30 a.m. ET on the CW App, followed by the MillerTech Battery 250 O'Reilly race at 4 p.m. ET on The CW. Meanwhile, Cup Series teams take to the track for practice and qualifying beginning at 1 p.m. ET on Prime Video.

Sunday's Cup Series coverage starts with Prime Video's pre-race show at 2 p.m. ET before the Great American Getaway 400 goes green at 3 p.m. ET.

Tire strategy and race format

The Cup Series will have 160 laps. The stage breaks remain the same as usual at Pocono at laps 30 and 95, which leaves the format at 30-65-65.

Teams will have seven sets of tires, with the estimation that the fuel window opens up between 46 and 52 laps.

The O'Reilly race will be divided 25-25-50 and will have four tire sets, with the estimated fuel window falling between laps 45 and 47.

Weather outlook for Pocono

The worst weather risk sits on Friday, with estimated temperatures sitting in the 80s, and there is a 70% chance of rain. This could overshadow the ARCA activities.

Saturday is predicted to improve in conditions and settle in the 70s, with no expected rain.

Sunday for the Cup Series could again see temperatures in the 80s with a 20% chance of rain. Clearly, as Sunday would be hotter than Saturday qualifying, teams may need to make setup adjustments before the green flag.

Favorites to win the Great American Getaway 400

The favorites for the race include Denny Hamlin, who is on a two-win streak and also has one of the best records at Pocono. With seven wins at the track (the highest), Hamlin has 17 top-5s and 24 top-10s.

Tyler Reddick, the championship leader, is also a contender, with other favorites arriving in the form of Christopher Bell, Chase Briscoe, and Ryan Blaney.

Even Kyle Larson cannot be overlooked, who has had great pace this season but is still hunting for his first victory. Who wins the race remains to be seen, but it promises to be an interesting weekend.
