NASCAR Schedule San Diego: Where To Watch, Race Timing, Track Layout, Entries & More
NASCAR’s highly anticipated race at San Diego, in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, is approaching this weekend from June 19-21 at Naval Base Coronado. The sport is making history by holding a race weekend on an active U.S. military base for the first time at San Diego, also the longest track on the 2026 calendar.
Let's take a look at the complete schedule.
Full schedule and where to watch
Track activity begins on Friday with Truck Series practice at 12 p.m. ET on FS2, followed by qualifying at 2 p.m. ET.
Next are the O'Reilly Series and Cup Series practices, scheduled at 3:30 p.m. ET (CW App) and 5 p.m. ET (Prime Video), respectively. The day concludes with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Navy 250 race at 7 p.m. ET on FS1.
Saturday's action starts with O'Reilly Series qualifying at 1 p.m. ET on CW before Cup Series qualifying at 2:30 p.m. ET on Prime Video. O'Reilly Series pre-race coverage begins at 4 p.m. ET, with the race itself starting at 5 p.m. ET on CW.
Sunday is dedicated to the Cup Series. Prime Video's pre-race show begins at 2:30 p.m. ET before the green flag drops for the Anduril 250 at 4 p.m. ET.
Track layout, race details, and weather forecast
The beautiful track at Coronado measures 3.4 miles and has 16 turns, which makes it the longest road course in NASCAR. The layout of the track winds in and around Naval Air Station North Island while including some signature sights of the base’s architecture.
The Truck Series Navy 250 is scheduled for 50 laps (12-12-26) and 170 miles. The O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race covers 60 laps (15-15-30) and 204 miles, while the Cup Series' Anduril 250 will run 75 laps (20-20-35) for a total distance of 255 miles. Drivers will be presented with multiple opportunities here to give their best due to a combination of the long straights and heavy braking zones.
Weather conditions also seem great here throughout the weekend. Friday will have temperatures settling in around 72°F, with morning clouds that will eventually give way to bright sunshine. A new high could be witnessed on Saturday at 73°F with dry conditions.
Sunday promises to be the sunniest day of all three, with minimal chances of rain and temperatures being around 74-75°F.
Entry List
The entry list currently stands at 39 cars, including Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, William Byron, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, Ross Chastain, Bubba Wallace and Shane van Gisbergen.
We also have a local racing hero here in the form of Jimmie Johnson. The seven-time Cup Series champion will pilot the No. 84 Toyota.
The combination of all the said competitors promises to make this weekend an entertaining one for patriots and race fans alike.
