The NASCAR world just about accepted that Greg Biffle is no longer in this world. Much has been told about his sudden demise, and how NASCAR did not put him in the honorary Hall of Fame recently. Amid this, Kyle Busch's passing put the governing body into further scrutiny, as its Chief Executive Officer, Steve O'Donnell finally came clean on a possible honorary Hall of Fame for Busch.

"I don't know," O'Donnell said addressing the media ahead of the Coca-Cola 600. I know that we'd put that on the list of ideas that we want to look at. I think I said earlier there's things we want to do this weekend and then we have a little bit more time to think about what we could do as well in the future and who knows that that could be something we look at."

The Motorsports world has yet to get out of the shock from Kyle Busch's demise. The two-time Cup Series driver, who is regarded as one of the best drivers of the sport, passed away suddenly on Thursday, just days after he won the Truck Series race at Dover.

As Busch passed away suddenly, he left behind a legacy. As a result, a section of fans wanted NASCAR to put him on the honorary NASCAR Hall of Fame list for the class of 2027. However, as clarified by O'Donnell, it is not NASCAR's priority at this moment.

However, NASCAR is expected to host tributes and events to pay respect to the late driver, for all his contributions to the sport. The big tribute is expected to take place ahead of the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend.

Hall of Fame inductee Kevin Harvick shared condolences for Kyle Busch

Kevin Harvick, a former NASCAR champion and the latest inductee in the NASCAR Hall of Fame for the Class of 2027, shared an emotional condolence to Kyle Busch. Taking to his official X account, Harvick shared a statement.

"Kyle Busch and I spent years pushing each other to the limit. We raced hard, traded paint and fought for every inch because all either of us wanted to do was beat the other. What people may not realize is how much that rivalry drove us both."

"I'm deeply saddened for Samantha, Brexton and Lennix. There's nothing that can replace a husband or a father. I'm also saddened for our sport. NASCAR lost one of its true giants, whose impact is almost beyond measure," statement further read.

Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick raced together in NASCAR for nearly two decades, from 2004 to 2023. When Busch arrived at the Cup Series, Harvick was already racing, and over the next few years they shared intense rivalry for the championships.
