Terry Crews is bringing his famous energy to the world of fast cars as the face of Cadillac’s new project. The actor will host a premium 18-episode YouTube series called Crews Control, which is set to premiere on May 5.

This series is a big collaboration between Crews, Cadillac, and Box to Box Films, the award-winning production team that created the massive hit Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

The show will give fans a fresh look at the global racing scene through the eyes of an American newcomer. Each episode lasts about 8 to 10 minutes and follows Crews as he gets a front-row seat to the inner workings of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team.

While F1 takes center stage, the series also dives into the rest of the TWG Motorsports family, including their teams in NASCAR and IndyCar.

According to TWG Motorsports CEO Dan Towriss, the goal of the show is to tap into the cultural power of racing. He noted that "Crews Control brings that to life — a can’t-miss journey anchored by the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and extending across many series we compete in, told through one of entertainment’s most compelling voices".

By showcasing the technical precision and human stories behind the sport, the series aims to explain why racing has suddenly captured the attention of a massive new American audience.

The personal connection behind the series

This new project is more than just a job for Terry Crews, as it connects directly back to his family roots. His father worked for General Motors, which makes his role in representing the Cadillac Formula 1 Team feel like a full-circle moment. Crews is determined to show his audience that racing is about much more than just cars driving in circles.

He explained his mission by saying, "Motorsport is the biggest world most Americans have never stepped inside — and I'm about to change that".

He added that the show focuses on the people and the obsession behind the sport, promising to bring fans into a world that is "faster, louder, and more alive than they ever imagined".

CEO of Box to Box Films, Paul Martin, described the final product as "cinematic and precise, grounded in real emotion, and unmistakably Terry: funny, earnest and relentlessly curious".

To keep fans engaged between episodes, Cadillac and its racing partners will also release a steady stream of behind-the-scenes content and teasers across their social media platforms.
