With five wins in the first nine races ahead of Talladega, things were looking great on Tyler Reddick's #45 side of the garage, and the announcement he made ahead of the race just made it better.

After a winless 2025 that left concerns for his contract ending in 2026, Reddick has given relief to his fans as he confirmed his multi-year extended deal with 23XI Racing for the future.

Speaking to Josh Sims, Reddick said, “I’m going to be continuing my future here at 23XI. Excited to have that all done and be able to continue building on what we’ve done, so just really glad that you know, myself and 23XI were able to get to a good place and get the deal done.”

"So I'll be here for hopefully a long time," he said with a smile, excited about his future.

Reddick also spoke about how he and 23XI have been able to stay in the mix by maintaining a good balance early in the season, helping them get into winning positions at the end. He ended by saying, “Just a good strong team and a good strong mindset in believing in each other really allows us to just elevate to the next level."

Since joining the Cup Series, Reddick first drove for Richard Childress Racing from 2020 to 2022, and then he joined 23XI Racing in 2023 when he was made to replace Kurt Busch in the No. 45.

In 2026, he first broke the record by winning the first three races in the sport. Then, with five wins in nine races, he has equalled a record that was last achieved by Dale Earnhardt in 1987.

So far, he has 13 Cup wins, and five of them have come in the last two months.

Reddick on Talladega 

Reddick leads the championship by 105 points over his team owner, Denny Hamlin. With five wins already and his sights on the Next Gen car's record of six wins a season, Reddick has a clear plan for Talladega.

With the qualifying rained out, Reddick started the race from pole and will be hoping to bag another win. Speaking ahead of the race, on what it requires, he said, “I think good strategy all day long with the different stage lengths today.”

Speaking on the stage lengths, he said, “It’s gonna be something new that all the teams, organizations are gonna be trying to figure out on the fly.”

"Hopefully, we have a really good idea in what we need to do and execute it well. I think we do that, we’ll find ourselves towards the front at the end.”
