23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick has been having his best season in the NASCAR Cup Series so far. Unfortunately, such levels of dominance usually draw negative chatter about the driver, which Reddick stepped forward to address after Talladega. 

Some NASCAR legends have been through a similar situation. During their eras of dominance, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson won everything they could get their hands on. Gordon's streak from 1995 to 1998 and Johnson's streak from 2005 to 2010 made some fans upset.

This seems to be the same situation Tyler Reddick is currently facing. Conspiracy theories arose after he won five of the first nine races, becoming the first driver since Dale Earnhardt (1987)to do so.

While talking to the media on Saturday, the 23XI driver was questioned about the negative fan reception. He said, "I feel bad for those that are tired of it. We're enjoying it. We want to keep winning and doing the things that we're doing. Yeah, I mean, I don't feel bad, because I remember how I felt all of last year. I know how my team felt about last year. We don't want to go back to not winning, and we're gonna keep working really hard to find ways to get to Victory Lane." 

In 2025, Tyler Reddick struggled to find consistency. He did earn four podium finishes, but had zero wins and finished the season ninth in the standings. This season, the 23XI driver is leading the championship after ten races with 457 points. He is 110 points clear of second-placed Denny Hamlin.

Tyler Reddick seals his future at 23XI

Prior to his outing at Talladega, Tyler Reddick announced on the "NASCAR RaceDay" telecast on FOX that he signed a multi-year contract extension with 23XI Racing.

"We got the deal done," said Reddick. "I’m going to be continuing my future here at 23XI Racing. Excited to have all that done and continue building on what we’ve done. Just really glad that myself and 23XI were able to get to a good place and get the deal done. I’ll be at 23XI, hopefully, for a long time."

It does not come as a surprise that 23XI wants to retain Reddick. He is in the form of his life this season and is currently the best driver in the team's history.

On Sunday, unfortunately, he finished in 14th place at Talladega despite starting on pole. The "Big One" on lap 115 changed the outcome of the race, as Carson Hocevar eventually took his first Cup win.
