“We want to be successful with them”: Brad Keselowski clears stance on Ford-Dodge dilemma

Brad Keselowski's Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing performance has not been on par coming into 2026. But it's not just RFK. It's Ford too.

The manufacturer is currently last in the standings, 270 points behind the leader, Toyota. Despite this, Keselowski still has high hopes for Ford as he chose the long route.

"We have a long-term contract right now with Ford Motor Company," Keselowski said. "We're committed to that. We want to be successful with them. We're hopeful that you know we can continue to innovate with them to this next level.

Notably, Keselowski's confirmation comes amid the rumors around his team's link with Dodge, the latter that's eyeing a 2027 return as per multiple reports.

This year, Dodge's sister brand RAM (under Stellantis) returned to the sport after collaborating with Kaulig Racing, one of the renowned NASCAR teams.

"We're in a lull right now that we don't want to be in. Ford doesn't want to be in the same lane, and you know the onus is on us to step it up and figure it out," Keselowski further added in the YouTube video uploaded by Cup Scene.

The link between Dodge and RFK stems from Jack Roush, the co-owner collaboration between Stellantis (Dodge's parent company) and Roush Performance for a joint Truck partnership. Moreover, Keselowski, another co-owner, has deep ties with Dodge.

He raced for Team Penske for four years from 2009 to 2012, where he drove Dodge cars, and his only championship (2012) came with the OEM. However, he set a clear stance with Ford as they look to race together in the coming days.

Brad Keselowski hailed Toyota amid Ford and Chevrolet's dismal time

Brad Keselowski praised Toyota after it had been absolutely phenomenal coming into the 2026 season. With 12 wins out of 19 races, the Japanese OEM has left its competitors behind. And for this, Keselowski put all the credit on them.

"They deserve credit for that. It’s a really great behind-the-scenes move that they’ve taken full advantage of, and in a way that is legal and probably should be. The challenge that I see is, will the other two OEMs actually react to that? I haven’t seen that at the moment," Keselowski said, as reported by On3.

Compared to Toyota, Chevrolet has six wins, and Ford has only one. Their performance has been shocking because they were the winning OEMs in the last six seasons (three each for Chevrolet and Ford).

“I think RFK is doing all the things it needs to do to position itself to be successful if that were to happen, particularly in the Ford camp, but at this point we have not seen the level of collaboration at Ford that we see at Toyota, and it creates challenges for the program," Keselowski further added.

As things stand, Brad Keselowski's Roush Fenway Keselowski is not the favorite to win races for now until they cooperate with other Ford teams, which 23XI Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing have done with Toyota.
